Very pleased to have this image, which I called "Walking on Water", accepted into the latest exhibition being held at the Glasgow Gallery of Photography. It was actually taken in Weston Super Mare at the bathing pool, but I over exposed it to create a very high key image. In doing so both the sky and water have been rendered white, leaving only the walkway and people visible, creating a very minimalist, simple image. The

exhibition finishes on Sunday 26 October 2025.

Shape Exhib JWP FB Blog
Yours truly alongside my "Three Shades" photograph which was accepted and received an Honorary Mention in the Glasgow Gallery of Photography's Shape Exhibition which took place last month. I managed to call into see it during the Preview afternoon at the start of the 4 week exhibition.
Three ShadesThis was taken whilst attending a camera club studio session in the local hall on the Isle of Mull. Whilst everyone else was concentrating on getting the studio lights set up, I noticed a resulting shadow being created by of one of the ceiling lights. I composed the image so that it looks like there are three light shades hanging (always a good number) and the diagonal lines of the sloping ceiling just added to the overall dynamic. I entered this into the Glasgow Gallery of Photography's "Shape" exhibition held last month and was pleased to not only get it accepted but with an "Honorary Mention" as well.
I was pleased to have another runner up photograph in the Outdoor Photography magazine for December (issue no 312). The theme this month was "Water in the Landscape". A photograph was taken at Lochbuie on the Isle of Mull in late January. The sun was starting to go down and there was a brief break in the clouds which enabled some soft pink light to fall on the water.
