I was pleased to have another runner up photograph in the Outdoor Photography magazine for December (issue no 312).  The theme this month was "Water in the Landscape".  A photograph was taken at Lochbuie on the Isle of Mull in late January.  The sun was starting to go down and there was a brief break in the clouds which enabled some soft pink light to fall on the water. Sunset from Port Appin

I was thrilled to find this image was awarded Runner Up in the Landscape Category of the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year 2024 competition. #SLPOTY  'Sunset from Port Appin' (north of Oban) looking across to the mountains on the Morvern peninsula.  I just loved how the silhouettes of the four trees on the left balanced with the break in the clouds on the right, allowing the late evening sun to create such wonderful light.  This has been such a successful image for me

West Highland Way nr Glen Orchy

I was very pleased to learn that I have had two awards in this year's Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year 2024 #SLPOTY This image "West Highland Way in Winter" has been Commended in the Landscape category.  This was taken in January close to Loch Tulla and Bridge of Orchy.
